**The Role**
The purpose of this role is to maximise ranging and account selling opportunities ensuring maximum sales and distribution of the PFD Seafood category. The key objective is to facilitate profitable and long term business growth to both PFD and our customers while representing the company as a professional, innovative and customer driven company.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Increase Seafood ranging in key accounts with a focus on sales and profit.
- Achievement of agreed strategic, budget, margin, and profit targets.
- Close and effective management of key accounts, weekly, quarterly/annual reviews.
- Ensure customers are kept informed of market conditions, changes to supply, and price movements.
- Management of customer product portal, and information systems.
- Management of forecasting and customer supply requirements.
- Participate in sales, promotional and merchandising initiatives.
- Implement Business Plans as developed in conjunction with company objectives.
- Liaise closely with other departments to achieve specific and broader business objectives.
- Effective communication of specific account requirements to internal stakeholders, _Seafood production sites, QA, Operations, Transport etc._
- Complete all tasks and accurate reporting requirements within agreed timeframes.
- Achieve targets for new products and accounts.
- Build and maintain effective, professional relationships with key accounts/customers.
- Implement pro-active strategies to improve quality of service.
- Ensure PFD is providing the most effective and efficient service based on the customers business requirements.
- Identify potential areas for growth opportunities, to maximise the offer to the customer and maintain continual growth for PFD.
- Access to market trends and information, to provide competitive edge.
- Management of commercial terms, contracts, rebates, and customer claims.
**Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications**
- Qualification in a sales or business related discipline an advantage.
- Seafood knowledge and sales experience is an advantage.
- Understanding of strategic selling skills and techniques.
- Sales acumen and understanding of merchandising initiatives.
- Experience in a FMCG arena with 1-2 years in a management or key account role.
- Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent negotiating skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
- Ability to communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
- Good computer skills.
- Ability to plan, implement and meet assignment deadlines.
- High level experience with key accounts.
- Superior selling ability.
- Good analytical and planning skills.
