A large north-side agency is seeking an APS5 Legal Admin Officer for a 12-month non-ongoing contract.

**Your new company**

This department is responsible for keeping Australia's borders safe. The Legal group is seeking an experienced APS officer to join their Practice Management Support section as a Legal Administrative Officer.

**Your new role**

Your new role will see you undertake a number of legal and non-legal tasks on behalf of the legal group. The following duties would be required:

- Processing subpoenas, including complex subpoenas
- Coordination and ongoing support in relation to matters heard in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) including the compiling of documents and preparing the statement required under section 37 of the AAT Act
- Management of the online legal research subscriptions for the Division, including the organisation of training as required
- Manage recruitment for any legal type positions across the group

**What you'll need to succeed**

In order to be successful in this exciting contract, you must have had prior experience within the public service along with the following:

- Experience processing subpoenas and show a high attention to detail
- Strong administrative skills and great communication skills
- A willingness to help and work on multiple competing priorities.
- You must hold a baseline clearance or higher and be able to work on-site every day.
