**Role Overview**: As a Disability Support Worker at Harmony Home and Community Care, you will provide personalized care and support to clients with disabilities. Your role will involve assisting clients with daily living activities, promoting their independence, and ensuring their safety and well-being.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support clients with mobility and transferring, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and dietary management as required.
- Provide support with household tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
- Accompany clients to appointments, social activities, and community engagements.
- Implement and follow individualized care plans and support strategies.
- Monitor and document clients' health and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the relevant professionals.
- Encourage and support clients in achieving their personal goals and enhancing their independence.
- Maintain a safe and positive environment for clients and staff.
- Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and other support staff to ensure comprehensive care.
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including dressing, grooming, and toileting.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Strong understanding of disability support practices and person-centered care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).

**Job Type**: Temporary

Pay: $31.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 30 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- On call
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Caregiving: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Victorian Driving License (preferred)

Shift availability:

- Day Shift (preferred)

Work Location: In person
