Allcare Community Support Victoria specialises in supporting young people and young adults who have been diagnosed with a disability, who are NDIS eligible, and who are in need of support. However, clients outside of these criteria are also supported by the organisation.

We are expanding the team and are recruiting for experienced support workers who can offer competent and reliable support to our participants. Consistency and reliability are key as once a support worker is matched with a client, that match is ongoing.

Each client is different and therefore support workers will be required to assist with a broad range of activities. These may include mentoring and guidance in assisting clients achieve their NDIS goals, assistance in completing activities at home, assistance with self-management tasks and community access. Forming a trusting relationship with the client and family members is also essential

Desirable criteria includes;
- A relevant qualification
- Evidence of 1 - 3 years previous experience working within social work, youth/community work
- Necessary clearances which include but are not limited to; an NDIS Worker screening clearance, Working with Children clearance and National Police Certificate
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate and engage with a variety of stakeholders
- Sound assessment and reporting skills
- Ability to work without constant supervision
- A reliable, clean vehicle and full Victorian drivers’ licence

Time Commitment - availability during the week and/or on a weekend day.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $41.00 - $58.00 per hour
