Position Summary:
The Specialist Retail National Account Manager is strategically important position with our national accounts team. Reporting into the Channel Director for Special Trade, this is a portfolio that encompasses key specialist retail channels within the Specialty Channel.
**Responsibilities**:
- Developing, selling, implementing, and evaluating business plans to meet and exceed financial and share goals - Net Sales, Gross Margin.
- Collaborating with cross functional teams in Building and tracking Joint Business plans with customers to drive growth.
- Execute promotional plans in optimizing product Mix delivering category performance and profitability goals.
- Develop productive working relationships with key customer contacts and sell mutually effective business plans.
- Develop customer contact plans ensuring ongoing/regular alignment in driving the business forward.
- Use analytical tools and data sources to deliver meaningful insights and forecast accuracy.
- Negotiation and Managing customers trading terms (annual or bi-annual). Managing any agreement changes through consolidation.
- Manage category reviews with the cross functional support team.
- Working closely with the supply/demand team ensuring customer supply metrics are achieved.
- Managing and improving range, distribution, pricing, and merchandising which reflect category/channel insights guidelines.
- Managing Customer Websites to ensure our offer is optimized.
- Exploring new business opportunities across these channels of responsibility.
What we are looking for:
- At least 2-3 years of experience in FMCG account management or state account management roles.
- University Degree Qualified.
- **Highly Driven and motivated to succeed with a growth mindset.**:
- Strong analytical skills, can interpret data.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, able to work cross functionally.
- Proficient knowledge and use of MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint) and Sales forecasting and promotional tools. Experience of SAP would be useful.
- Able to Negotiate commercial agreements.
