Software Engineer - Api Job Description

Xpansiv operates an integrated, open, and neutral market platform to accelerate the global energy transition.

The company provides thousands of market participants with access to a range of energy transition markets through its suite of solutions. Xpansiv's technology platform services the entire lifecycle of environmental commodities, connecting diverse markets and participants worldwide.

  • Design robust APIs for internal and external use.
  • Built and maintain RESTful APIs that interface with the trading system.
  • Develop and support REST clients for integrating with third-party systems.
  • Manage and enhance Kafka-based pipelines for streaming market data and trade instructions.

Key responsibilities include designing message schemas and data structures for both internal and external APIs, as well as ensuring seamless system integrations.

Required skills include proficiency in TypeScript, Rust, and C++, as well as experience with REST, Kafka, FIX, modern web technologies, and integration testing frameworks.

As a Software Engineer at Xpansiv, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining the software that powers the interfaces around our core trading system.
