
Animal Management Leadership Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our Local Laws and Animal Management team. As a key member of the Compliance Operations Unit, you will play a vital role in providing strategic direction, guidance, and support to your team to achieve their objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional leadership, administration, customer service, and technical support to the Local Laws and Animal Management team.
- Guide, coach, train, and motivate your team to achieve their goals and objectives.
- Analyze data, conduct case reviews, and implement improved ways of working to drive performance and efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with the Compliance Operations Unit to enforce Acts, Local Laws, and Regulations.
- Manage shifting priorities and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, including after-hours on-call duties as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A current Australian driver's license.
- Proven experience leading people, including day-to-day supervision, development of work plans, and providing constructive feedback.
- Experience in the application of municipal local law, Domestic Animals Act, including evidence collection and note-taking, conflict resolution, and court procedures.
- Ability to analyze and assess team performance against targets and identify improvement opportunities.
- Superior customer service skills and demonstrated experience delivering service excellence in a similar role.
- Knowledge of engagement approaches to achieve open communication and collaboration with the community.
- Strong time management, prioritization, planning, and organization of own work.
- Experience in planning and delivering enforcement services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- High level of personal integrity and in-depth knowledge of relevant legislation.
