The Victorian Animal Aid Trust (Animal Aid) has been serving the local community since 1935, caring for and re-homing countless lost and abandoned companion animals.

A fantastic opportunity exists for casual animal attendants to join our Animal Aid Team.

We are seeking people with a genuine passion for helping people and animals. This role is in a fast-paced team environment and you will need to be able to multi-task to a high degree.

You will maintain a safe, secure and clean environment for all animals in the care of Animal Aid Boarding Kennels and Cattery.

The successful applicant will have:

- Animal handling skills
- Knowledge of cleaning and infection control procedures
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Team skills, and a positive and loyal attitude to the VAAT at all times
- Client communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Current Victorian drivers license

**Role duties & responsibilities**:

- Ensure that all dietary and veterinary requirements are met daily
- Exercise, bath and groom as per the procedure manual
- Mandatory reporting and recording of any signs of ill health or unusual behaviour directly to the Supervisor of Boarding and the Vet clinic
- Ensure that a high standard of customer service is maintained at all times.
- Report any faulty equipment or structural faults/damage immediately to the person in charge
- Be responsible for replenishing stock daily in rostered area. E.g. Food, chemicals etc
