Animal Ethics Lead

This key leadership role involves managing animal ethics applications and submissions, delivering high-quality guidance on policy and governance to researchers and committees.

To succeed in this position, you will require exceptional leadership skills, a strong understanding of animal ethics regulations, and the ability to foster a culture of service excellence within your team.

You will lead a small team to ensure efficient and compliant operations of Animal Ethics Committees, providing expert advice and support to senior management and key stakeholders.

  • Key responsibilities include leading animal ethics processes, providing regulatory advice, and coaching team members for excellence and innovation.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop strategic relationships and contribute to the university's research ethics landscape. You will be responsible for implementing best practices in animal welfare and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong policy interpretation skills, postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline, and experience in managing complex, sensitive issues in a university or research environment.
