Pacific Communities Project Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to lead the launch and growth of the Pacifica Hub in Western Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the establishment and implementation of the Pacific health Hub, driving the coordination and implementation of activities in consultation with relevant staff and services.

The project officer will work closely with relevant services within the Local Health District to deliver high-quality care to Pacific people and support them to achieve optimal health and wellbeing. This role requires strong collaboration and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Leading the launch and growth of the Pacifica Hub in Western Sydney
  • Improving Pacific communities' access to quality health services
  • Collaborating with diverse stakeholders to support better wellbeing

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor level qualification in a relevant health discipline
  • At least 3 years post-graduation experience in project management
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Pacific Communities in WSLHD
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work in partnership with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated time management skills
  • Demonstrated high-level communication skills, written and verbal, negotiation, report writing and research skills
