About the Position


This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual to make a positive impact on students' lives, supporting their career development and academic success. As a Workplace Learning Officer, you will work closely with our VET team to secure placements with existing and new workplace partners, conduct workplace visits, and provide guidance to students.


Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and implement effective Workplace Learning programs to support students' career goals and aspirations
  • Conduct regular workplace visits to monitor student progress and provide feedback to employers and parents
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses and industry partners to secure job placements and training opportunities
  • Collaborate with teachers and VET staff to develop and deliver tailored learning programs that meet students' needs and interests
  • Provide expert advice and support to students, parents, and employers on career pathways and vocational education options

Requirements



  • Relevant qualifications and experience in vocational education, careers counseling, or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including students, parents, employers, and industry partners
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse situations and contexts
  • Sound knowledge of career development theories and practices, with a focus on promoting student employability and career readiness
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of organization and time management skills
  • Familiarity with relevant software applications, including databases, spreadsheets, and word processing tools
