Job Description

This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the infrastructure of our city.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bridge Labourer to join our team. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining timber, steel or concrete bridges by assisting other trades.
  • Operating a range of equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Performing labouring tasks as required to support construction operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of health and safety protocols and be able to work under limited supervision either in a team environment or independently.

A current Construction Industry White Card is essential for this role. Additionally, experience in operating plant or machinery to a high level of skill and achieving predetermined tolerances or standards would be highly desirable.

Requirements and Expectations

The successful applicant will require a current motor vehicle driver's licence and be willing to undertake any legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements as directed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the maintenance of bridges, including supporting other trades.
  • Operate a variety of equipment and machinery, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Carry out laboring tasks as needed to aid in construction projects.
Essential Requirements:
  • A valid Construction Industry White Card.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team or independently.
  • Highly skilled operation of plant and machinery to precise standards.
  • Dedication to Work Health and Safety (WHS) protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of quality, environmental, and WHS practices.
  • Experience in routine servicing and maintenance of equipment and machinery.
Requirements and Expectations:
  • Holding a current motor vehicle driver's license.
  • Commitment to ongoing training and certification as required.
