Job Overview

The Civil Maintenance Manager plays a pivotal role in maintaining world-class standards of civil assets. This position involves overseeing diverse infrastructure portfolios, including airfield pavements, bridges, stormwater systems, and marine structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery of civil maintenance services across various infrastructure to ensure safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Oversee contractor performance and manage budgets to align with strategic and financial targets.
  • Enhance the Civil Asset Management Plan and Airport Pavement Management System, driving data-informed decision-making.
  • Lead runway friction testing and support CASA audit responses to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate on planning and delivery of minor capital works and provide technical advice.

About You

  • A qualified Civil Engineer with experience in civil and pavement maintenance, ideally within aviation or infrastructure environments.
  • At least 5 years' experience in contract management and pavement maintenance.
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience supervising contracted labour.
  • Strong technical knowledge of civil construction, asset management, and quality systems.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills, with attention to detail.
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work across teams and with external partners.
  • A commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
