Aboriginal Health Services Maternal and Child Health Nurse

This key role empowers Aboriginal people to take control of their health and wellbeing. As a Maternal & Child Health Nurse, you will provide direct patient contact and clinical support in Maternal and Child Health, including immunisations, development and maternal screening, and parenting advice.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality care to patients through effective clinical support
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to enhance Indigenous health in our communities
- Develop and implement health education programs for children and families
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required
- Registered nurse or EEN/AHP qualification with immunization skills
- Certified midwife or willingness to obtain Midwifery certification
- Accredited Child and Family Health Certificate
- Immunization accreditation or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication skills and commitment to Primary healthcare principles
- Understanding of issues impacting Aboriginal communities
