Maternal and Child Health Nurse Opportunity

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of mothers and children in our communities.

We are seeking an experienced Maternal and Child Health Nurse to provide direct patient contact and clinical support in Maternal and Child Health, including immunisations, development and maternal screening, and parenting advice.

The successful candidate will have a passion for child and family health, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to primary healthcare principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care to mothers and children, promoting healthy development and well-being.
  • Conduct immunisations, development checks, and maternal screening as required.
  • Offer parenting advice and support to families.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to enhance Indigenous health outcomes.
  • Participate in health promotion and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Registered nurse, EEN, or AHP qualification.
  • Certified midwife or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Minimum 12 months experience in Child and Family Health.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Understanding of issues impacting Aboriginal communities.
