Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to maintain high standards of health records. As a Health Information Services Clerk, you will provide efficient service to internal departments and external organizations.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and customer service skills, strong organizational abilities, and attention to detail. Proficiency in using email, web-based applications, and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) is required.

A dynamic multidisciplinary team environment is essential for success in this role. You will also be comfortable with filing, culling, and maintaining health records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately scan health record documents to Scanned Health Record System (SHRS)
  • Prepare and verify documents for scanning to SHRS
  • Perform quality activities on scanned documents
  • Correct identified anomalies in SHRS
  • Respond to enquiries from other departments and external organisations
  • Update and maintain doctor and practice database
  • Filing and culling of health records
  • Maintain health record tracking system for all record movements
  • Collect and sort mail
  • Liaise with secondary storage contractor for the retrieval and return of health records
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficiency in using email, web-based applications, and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Desirable experience using Web Patient Administration System (WebPAS) and/or a Scanned Medical Record
