">We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Technical Assistant to join our Water Management Team in providing operational support in the collection of hydrological, meteorological, environmental, and asset monitoring data services.
">As a Technical Assistant, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop skills in hydrographic, hydrometric, and data capture fields. You will be supported with on-the-job and formal technical training to ensure you are an integral member of the team.
">You will be working in a dynamic environment where each week will be different, including multiple days in the field carrying and using hydrographer monitoring equipment, or inputting data collected back at the office. This role requires flexibility and willingness to work outdoors in a range of weather conditions.
">About the Role
">This is an exciting opportunity to work with experienced mentors and contribute to the delivery of high-quality data services. As a Technical Assistant, you will have opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge, and work towards becoming a certified practicing hydrographer with the Australian Hydrographers Association.
">Key Responsibilities
">We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has a strong interest in technical fields related to hydrographic, hydrometric, or data capture. The ideal candidate will have:
">- Some experience working outdoors in various weather conditions">
- Ability to swim and be comfortable around water">
- Willingness to complete a Certificate IV in Water Resources or Civil Engineering at TAFE">
- Construction White Card or willingness to obtain it">
