Royal Hobart Hospital and the Department of Gynaecological Oncology are seeking a suitably qualified Staff Specialist – Gynaecological Oncologist to join our team. The successful applicant will hold a Certificate of Gynaecologic Oncology (CGO) from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists or equivalent international qualifications.

The Department of Gynaecologic Oncology is part of the Women's and Children's services at Royal Hobart Hospital, providing state-wide medical services in Tasmania. We offer surgery for women with gynaecological cancers, genetic risk of cancer, and complex benign gynaecological conditions.

Role Responsibilities
  • Providing surgery for women with gynaecological cancers and complex benign gynaecological conditions
  • Outpatient clinics, regular multidisciplinary team meetings, on-call commitments, and outreach clinics at Launceston General Hospital
  • Working collaboratively with a full-time nursing Gynaecological Cancer Care Co-ordinator and a senior registrar/Fellow

Essential Requirements
  • Holds specialist registration or is a registered Medical Practitioner on the specialist pathway
  • Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration

The estimated annual salary for this position is $223,422 - $293,518 based on Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1 - 5 points range. This figure is subject to clinical experience and seniority.
