About the Role

The Talent Mill is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of People and Culture to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing people strategies that support the growth and success of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a small team of HR Business Partners and People & Culture Coordinators to provide support to the business leaders in all people matters
  • Partner with senior leadership to provide strategic advice and insights on people-related matters, helping to drive decision-making and organisational effectiveness
  • Monitor HR metrics and analytics to track key performance indicators, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Lead the development and implementation of People and Culture policies, programs, and initiatives that support the company's overall mission, vision, and strategic goals
  • Develop and oversee projects from entering new markets to system initiatives
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Drive (hands on) the recruitment process, ensuring we attract and retain top talent
  • Leading efforts to foster a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace culture, promoting initiatives that celebrate diversity and create opportunities for all employees to thrive
  • Oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management, career development, and offboarding

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in HR leadership roles
  • Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, preferably within a dynamic and high-growth company
  • Strong expertise in ER/IR, WHS, and team development
  • Strong background designing and rolling out Leadership and Development programs
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
  • A strategic thinker with a proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving
  • A commitment to championing diversity, inclusion, and servant leadership principles
  • Experience in scaling up a company
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful HR strategies
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, labour laws, and regulations
  • Ideally have experience in retail, both bricks and mortar and online
