Job Description:Provide advisory and drafting support on commercial contracts with suppliers and service providers in areas such as property, technology, privacy and data, intellectual property, credit and financing. Draft, negotiate, and review commercial agreements across various industries including financial services, FMCG, energy and resources, government and public sector, construction and infrastructure, education, hotels/leisure/gaming, mining, TMT, transport.
- Provide legal advice relating to competition and consumer law, privacy, product safety, quality and labeling where required for certain roles.
- Support disputes and investigations where relevant (litigation, insolvency/debt recovery, regulatory investigations) and have knowledge of employment law for some roles.
Hit the ground running, work autonomously, prioritize effectively, and adapt to business needs. Operate as a hands-on lawyer who can work on the tools and contribute directly to business outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:Senior stakeholder management skills Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to interface at all levels Strong commercial and business acumen Excellent client service orientation, ethics, and commitment The right to live and work in Australia and hold or be able to obtain a current practicing certificate Willingness to engage with Ashurst via an Independent Incorporated Legal Practice or casual employment
