A dynamic opportunity awaits a seasoned commercial expert to lead the strategic direction of our defence and security solutions.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the commercial function and ensuring seamless project delivery through effective contract management and stakeholder engagement.

This senior position demands exceptional commercial acumen, strong relationship building skills, and the ability to navigate complex high-value contracts across multiple concurrent initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development, negotiation, review and management of contracts to mitigate risks and maximise opportunities
  • Manage client concerns or issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Contribute to negotiations of key subcontracts and purchase orders, ensuring appropriate flow downs, addressing risks, and incorporating compensation provisions from the contract
  • Responsible for creating and managing subcontracts, ensuring alignment with project requirements and organisational standards
  • Provide support to projects by overseeing all commercial aspects of affiliated contracts.
  • Ensure fulfillment of contract requirements and interface with internal business functions to guarantee and assure contract compliance
  • Evaluate and manage project commercial risks, ensuring alignment with our internal policies.

Requirements:

  • Current AGSVA Baseline security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in business / law; or demonstrated relevant professional experience
  • Significant experience in Defence and Government commercial management or procurement
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiation and support
  • Well-developed communication skills
  • Experienced user of MS Office products
