As a specialist in injury return, you will deliver expert guidance and support to individuals who have experienced workplace injuries. Your role will be to facilitate early intervention and provide personalized assistance to injured workers, employers, and treating medical practitioners.
This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those affected by workplace injuries. You will work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement effective return-to-work plans, promoting recovery and independence.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate face-to-face visits with injured workers, employers, and healthcare professionals to empower parties to participate in the return-to-work process.
- Educate stakeholders on legislative requirements, premium impacts, claim decisions, formal statement requirements, and advocate for mobile case management services.
- Collaborate with vocational providers to achieve return-to-work and life outcomes for injured workers.
- Attend medical reviews to promote implementing strategies and early intervention.
- Educate injured workers on utilizing specialists, services, and available support to achieve agreed return-to-work goals.
- Communicate with stakeholders to develop a plan to support the return-to-work process by negotiating strategies, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring progress.
- Previous experience and/or qualifications in allied health fields, rehabilitation counseling, or personal injury claims management.
- Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels of an organization.
- Understanding of injury recovery and psychosocial impacts on individual recovery.
- Demonstrated experience in developing return-to-work plans using SMART principles. Case conferencing experience is highly desirable.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- A strategic mindset and collaborative team approach to work.
- Current valid driver's license.
- A resilient attitude.
