Case Manager (Residential Support Specialist)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Case Manager, responsible for providing residential support and developing community-based programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver trauma-informed, culturally safe residential support
  • Develop and facilitate community-based programs for relapse prevention, harm reduction, and well-being
  • Contribute to resident plan formulation and review
  • Build supportive relationships with clients and their families
  • Ensure residents' comfort and dignity
  • Perform assessments and intakes as required
  • Participate in program development and content creation
  • Maintain accurate case notes and documentation

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will ideally hold a Certificate IV in Community Services (Alcohol and Other Drugs), or a related qualification. You should also possess experience working in case management, with skills in communication, time management, and documentation.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in AOD or therapeutic community settings
  • Experience designing, facilitating, and participating in group programs
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse clients and stakeholders in a non-judgmental manner
  • The ability to maintain accurate records, perform assessments, and deliver goal-oriented support
  • A sound understanding of therapeutic community principles and ability to respond effectively to challenging behaviors
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Lived experience and/or Aboriginality (highly valued)
