**Transforming Lives through Prostate Cancer Care**

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Telenurse to join our team in providing specialist nursing support, care, and advice to individuals affected by prostate cancer. Our vision is a future where no man dies of prostate cancer, and Australian men and their families get the support that they need.

As a Telenurse, you will be part of Australia's first dedicated Telenursing service for prostate cancer. You will provide comprehensive, evidence-based information and education via phone and electronic communications, guide patients to appropriate internal and external support programs, and contribute to educational programs and staff development.

This role is hybrid, with the ability to work from home 4 days per week. You will be working as a resource for health professionals and community organisations, offering practical and emotional support to individuals affected by prostate cancer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist nursing support, care, and advice to individuals affected by prostate cancer
  • Act as a resource for health professionals and community organisations

  • Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based information and education via phone and electronic communications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (Division 1-General) with AHPRA registration
  • Minimum of 5 years post-graduation experience
  • At least 3 years' experience working with prostate cancer patients
  • Advanced knowledge in urology or oncology nursing and supportive care
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in MS Office, internet, email, and databases
