  • Offer expert advice and practical assistance to healthcare professionals and community organizations.
  • Provide comprehensive information and education through phone and electronic communications.
  • Guide patients towards suitable internal and external support programs.
  • Contribute to educational initiatives and staff development.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and research projects.
Duties and Responsibilities

As a Prostate Cancer Telenurse, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality patient care and support through various communication channels.
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to data-driven insights to inform service improvements.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement effective care pathways.
  • Engaging with patients, families, and carers to provide emotional support and address their concerns.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Registered Nurse (Division 1-General) qualification with AHPRA registration.
  • At least 5 years of post-graduation experience, preferably in urology or oncology nursing.
  • Advanced knowledge of prostate cancer care, treatment options, and supportive care principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
