About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Telenurse to join our team. As a Telenurse, you will play a vital role in providing specialist nursing care, guidance, and education to individuals affected by prostate cancer.

This hybrid role offers the perfect blend of flexibility and challenge. You will work from home four days a week, allowing you to balance your professional and personal life. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing resources and support to healthcare professionals and community organizations
  • Offering practical and emotional support to prostate cancer patients and their families
  • Delivering evidence-based information and education via phone and digital platforms
  • Navigating patients to relevant internal and external support programs
  • Contribution to educational initiatives and staff development
  • Participation in quality improvement activities and research projects
  • Maintenance of professional standards in nursing and cancer care

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A registered nurse (Division 1-General) with AHPRA registration
  • A minimum of five years post-graduation experience
  • At least three years of experience working with prostate cancer patients
  • Advanced knowledge in urology or oncology nursing and supportive care
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in MS Office, internet, email, and databases
