About the Role:

  2. As a Telenurse, you will play a vital role in providing specialist nursing support and advice to those in need, utilising your advanced knowledge in urology or oncology nursing and supportive care.">
  3. You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive, evidence-based information and education via phone and electronic communications, guiding patients to appropriate internal and external support programs.">
  4. Contribute to educational programs and staff development, while maintaining professional standards in nursing and cancer care.">
  5. Participate in quality improvement activities and research programs to enhance patient outcomes.">

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a resource for health professionals and community organizations, offering practical and emotional support to individuals affected by prostate cancer.">
  • Deliver expert nursing advice and guidance, ensuring that patients receive optimal care and support.">
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to data analysis to inform service improvements.">
  • Promote and support the organisation's mission and values, upholding a commitment to excellence in patient care.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Registered Nurse (Division 1-General) with AHPRA registration.">
  • Minimum of 5 years post-graduation experience, with at least 3 years' experience working with prostate cancer patients.">
  • Advanced knowledge in urology or oncology nursing and supportive care, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.">
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, with proficient skills in MS Office, internet, email, and databases.">
