PreSales Solution Architect Role

The role of a PreSales Solution Architect is pivotal in driving business growth through effective solution architecture. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the company's portfolio, acting as a subject matter expert, designing and delivering end-to-end solution architecture for customer projects, ensuring alignment with business requirements, data security, and performance standards.

This involves:

  • Developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the company's products, services, and markets.
  • Designing and delivering solution architecture for customer projects, meeting business requirements, security standards, and performance expectations.
  • Preparing and delivering compelling presentations and software demonstrations to customers.
  • Leading technical requirements for opportunities, including RFIs, EOIs, and RFPs, contributing to bid/no-bid decisions.
  • Collaborating with sales teams to identify opportunities, drive pipeline growth, and support strategic initiatives.
  • Providing strategic advice and acting as a technical leader in projects, ensuring smooth transitions from sales to project delivery.
  • Implementing and upholding architectural governance standards across the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project management frameworks.
  • Working closely with the development team to understand capabilities, processes, and DevOps processes; participating in coding or business workflow mapping as required.
  • Addressing technical issues across the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Tertiary education in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of Solution Architecture experience, with a strong focus on PreSales.
  • Experience with implementing complex enterprise projects in mission critical/high-availability environments is highly desirable.
  • Proven professional experience in presales or equivalent roles.
  • Public safety domain knowledge or experience with Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) / Mobile Computing is highly desirable.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of contracts and associated legalities is highly desirable.
