About the Role

An experienced Operations Supervisor is sought by our Development team at Huntly. This critical role involves leading and managing a skilled group of professionals to ensure safe, efficient, and effective operation of our development function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage your team. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment and identify talent to help them grow professionally.
  • Drive continuous improvement. Use lean methodologies and problem-solving techniques to optimize production processes and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain high standards of safety. Ensure compliance with quality, environmental regulations and prioritize risk assessments and safety inspections.
  • Monitor and improve KPIs. Use data to make informed decisions and track progress and success.
  • Manage resources effectively. Allocate resources and manage budgets to support team objectives and promptly resolve operational issues.
  • Communicate effectively. Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of Mine Operations, ideally mine development.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams.
  • Versatility, coordinating skills, and ability to rapidly acquire familiarity with changing environments.
  • A high level of strategic thinking, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Schedule 26 - Statutory Supervisor accreditation or willingness to complete it.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a leadership position or similar industry.
