Job OverviewThe Senior Finance Associate will play a critical role in supporting the finance team by handling daily accounting tasks, bookkeeping, and financial reporting. This position requires close collaboration with the CFO and Financial Controller to ensure accurate month-end closings, account reconciliations, and audit support.
Key Responsibilities:- Accurately record daily financial transactions, adhering to company policies and accounting standards.
- Regularly reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts to maintain financial accuracy.
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts, and follow up on outstanding invoices with clients and vendors as necessary.
- Manage employee expense reports, verifying and categorizing expenses for accurate financial reporting.
- Support monthly and yearly financial close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliation.
- Assist in preparing financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements under the guidance of senior accountants.
- Help gather documentation and data needed for audits and assist in responding to auditor inquiries.
- Enter financial data into the accounting system and conduct routine reviews to identify discrepancies.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Xero or QuickBooks, as well as other accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Excel and general ledger functions).
- Strong attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
- Ability to identify discrepancies and work through issues methodically.
- Good written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
This role offers a Monday to Thursday schedule with 3-4 days in our offices located in Green Square.
