Job Summary
This senior associate/senior associate position involves working on various projects across the energy, infrastructure, and government sectors. You will advise project sponsors, financiers, and large energy users on a range of matters, including drafting agreements and coordinating due diligence. Your strong analytical and communication skills will enable you to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on several energy projects for project sponsors, financiers, and large energy users nationally.
- Advising on and drafting a range of project documentation, including power purchase agreements, connection agreements, services and development agreements, delivery and joint venture agreements.
- Coordinate due diligence for greenfield and brownfield projects, financing and acquisitions.
- Manage work streams on large domestic and international projects.
- Liaise with clients on consents, amendments, and project delivery issues as they arise.
- Assist with business development and marketing initiatives.
- Delegation and supervision of work and junior team members.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 4-8 years PQE gained within an energy/projects practice. Project finance experience is highly regarded.
- Possess a growth mindset and be commercial, solution-focused, creative, and passionate about delivering the energy transition.
- Experience assisting on a range of matters across the infrastructure, energy, and government sector.
- Strong client liaison skills.
- Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
- Strong time management & organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities simultaneously.
