Job Summary

This senior associate/senior associate position involves working on various projects across the energy, infrastructure, and government sectors. You will advise project sponsors, financiers, and large energy users on a range of matters, including drafting agreements and coordinating due diligence. Your strong analytical and communication skills will enable you to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on several energy projects for project sponsors, financiers, and large energy users nationally.
  • Advising on and drafting a range of project documentation, including power purchase agreements, connection agreements, services and development agreements, delivery and joint venture agreements.
  • Coordinate due diligence for greenfield and brownfield projects, financing and acquisitions.
  • Manage work streams on large domestic and international projects.
  • Liaise with clients on consents, amendments, and project delivery issues as they arise.
  • Assist with business development and marketing initiatives.
  • Delegation and supervision of work and junior team members.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4-8 years PQE gained within an energy/projects practice. Project finance experience is highly regarded.
  • Possess a growth mindset and be commercial, solution-focused, creative, and passionate about delivering the energy transition.
  • Experience assisting on a range of matters across the infrastructure, energy, and government sector.
  • Strong client liaison skills.
  • Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Strong time management & organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities simultaneously.
