Lead Workplace Investigations

We are currently seeking an exceptional individual to lead our workplace investigations team within the Professional Standards & Behaviours Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing initial assessments to determine whether to investigate complaints of inappropriate workplace behaviour, managing investigations in accordance with enterprise agreements, and developing and improving investigative processes to meet industry best practice standards.

About the Role
  • Oversee a team of investigators ensuring all workplace complaints are thoroughly investigated and addressed.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to prevent workplace misconduct and ensure a culture of respect and inclusivity.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to resolve complex misconduct matters and provide guidance on notifications to external bodies.
Responsibilities
  1. Conduct thorough investigations into workplace complaints, ensuring all evidence is collected and analysed in a person-centred and trauma-informed manner.
  2. Develop and implement policies and procedures to prevent workplace misconduct and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  3. Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement a strategic plan to address workplace misconduct and improve organisational performance.
Requirements
  • Qualifications in Law, Human Resources, or equivalent, with significant experience in management, leadership, and resolution of misconduct matters.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to coach and mentor investigation team members.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
