About the Role

This role is responsible for coordinating and improving customer satisfaction by supporting the principles of a clear and efficient front office within Civil Helicopters.

Some key activities include:

  • Raising purchase orders for aeronautical material requirements, including stock collection, maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), new aircraft customization, spare parts sales, standard exchanges, and return-to-owner (R&O) items.
  • Managing core returns to suppliers.
  • Providing timely feedback and follow-up on issues/blockages and communicating with internal stakeholders and vendors.
  • Ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality purchases of all materials.
  • Actioning and administering AOG/warranties with vendors.
  • Reviewing open orders and expediting vendor deliveries in accordance with quoted lead times.
  • Liaising with subcontractors/suppliers for the supply of materials, equipment, and subcontract services according to customization and delivery requirements.
  • Managing KANBAN orders.
  • Managing non-conformities with suppliers and returning items to vendors.
About Freight Management

This role involves managing freight-related activities, including:

  • Coding all freight invoices and purchase cost variations to inventory and jobs.
  • Reviewing and allocating deferred customs payment statements and temporary imports.
  • Providing freight quotes to MRO and new aircraft sales teams.
  • Liaising with freight forwarders and updating aircraft delivery managers on new aircraft delivery from factory to destination.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A detailed knowledge of supply chain principles, including inventory and materials management.
  • A high level of purchasing expertise to support procurement activities in Australia and/or New Zealand.
  • Broad knowledge of applicable legislation, regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Proven purchasing experience and understanding of end-to-end supply chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • An understanding of purchasing cost drivers and strategies, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
