Procurement Specialist for Material Support and Logistics

About the Role:
This Procurement Specialist position is part of the Material Support and Logistics function within Civil Helicopters, reporting to the Team Lead MS&L Back Office.
The role's primary responsibility is to enhance customer satisfaction by supporting the principles of a clear and efficient front office.
Key activities include:
- Raising purchase orders for aeronautical material requirements, including stock collection, MRO, new aircraft customization, spare parts sales, standard exchanges, and repairs and overhauls (R&O).
- Managing returns to core suppliers.
- Providing timely feedback and follow-up on issues/blockages and communicating with relevant internal stakeholders and vendors.
- Ensuring that all materials are purchased on time, cost-effectively, and meet quality standards.
- Actioning and administering AOG/Warranties to vendors.
- Reviewing open orders and expediting vendor deliveries in accordance with quoted lead times (backorder follow-up).
- Liaising with sub-contractors/suppliers for the supply of materials, equipment, and sub-contract services per customisation and delivery requirements.
- Managing orders for KANBAN items.
- Managing non-conformities with suppliers and return-to-vendor processes.
Freight Responsibilities:
- Coding freight invoices and purchase cost variations to inventory and jobs.
- Reviewing and allocating deferred customs payment statements and temporary imports.
- Providing freight quotes to MRO and new aircraft sales teams.
- Liaising with Freight forwarders and updating Aircraft Delivery Manager on new aircraft deliveries from factory to desired locations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Detailed knowledge of Supply Chain principles - inventory and materials management.
- High level of purchasing knowledge to support procurement activity in Australia and/or New Zealand.
- Broad knowledge of applicable legislation, regulations (e.g., CASA, EASA, NZCAA, FAA, ITAR, export and import controls), standards, and best practices.
- Proven purchasing experience and knowledge of end-to-end supply chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) (On Time Delivery, On Time Request).
- Understanding of purchasing cost drivers and strategies; and how to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Estimated Salary: AU$85,000 - AU$110,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
