Procurement Specialist

Pursuing a career as a Procurement Specialist in Material Support and Logistics at Airbus, you will be responsible for coordinating and improving customer satisfaction through efficient front office principles. As a key member of the team, you will report directly to the Team Lead MS&L Back Office.
Responsibilities:
- Raising Purchase Orders for all aeronautical material requirements, including stock collection, MRO, new aircraft customization, spare parts sales, standard exchanges, and R&O.
- Managing core returns with suppliers.
- Providing timely feedback and follow-up on issues/blockages, communicating with internal stakeholders and vendors.
- Ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality material purchases.
- Actioning and administering AOG/Warranties with vendors.
- Reviewing open orders and expediting vendor deliveries according to quoted lead-times.
- Liaising with sub-contractors/suppliers for materials, equipment, and subcontract services per customisation and delivery requirements.
- Managing KANBAN items orders.
- Managing non-conformities with suppliers and return to vendors process.
Freight Management:
- Coding freight invoices and purchase cost variations to inventory and jobs.
- Reviewing and allocating deferred customs payment statements and temporary imports.
- Providing freight quotes to MRO and new aircraft sales teams.
- Liaising with Freight forwarders and updating aircraft delivery managers on new aircraft deliveries from factory to desired locations.

- Detailed knowledge of Supply Chain principles – inventory and materials management.
- High-level purchasing knowledge to support procurement activities in Australia and/or New Zealand.
- Broad knowledge of applicable legislation, regulations (e.g., CASA, EASA, NZCAA, FAA, ITAR, export and import controls), standards, and best practices.
- Proven purchasing experience and knowledge of end-to-end supply chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) (On Time Delivery, On Time Request).
- Understanding of purchasing cost drivers and strategies; ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Salary Information:We are offering an estimated annual salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 depending on location and experience.
