**About the Role**

As a key member of the Material Support and Logistics team within Civil Helicopters, this Procurement Specialist position plays a vital role in enhancing civil helicopter customer satisfaction by supporting the principles of a clear and efficient front office.

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Raising purchase orders for all aeronautical material requirements, including stock collection, MRO, new aircraft customization, spare parts sale, standard exchange, and R&O.
  • Managing core returns to suppliers.
  • Providing timely feedback and follow-up on issues or blockages and communicating with internal stakeholders and vendors.
  • Ensuring that all materials are purchased on time, at cost, and meet quality standards.
  • Actioning and administering AOG/Warranties with vendors.
  • Reviewing open orders and expediting vendor deliveries according to quoted lead times (backorder follow-up).
  • Liaising with subcontractors/suppliers for the supply of materials, equipment, and subcontract services per customization and delivery requirements.
  • Managing orders for KANBAN items.
  • Managing non-conformities with suppliers and the return-to-vendor process.

**Freight Management**

  • Coding freight invoices and purchase cost variations to inventory and jobs.
  • Reviewing and allocating deferred customs payment statements and temporary imports.
  • Providing freight quotes to the MRO and new aircraft sales teams.
  • Liaising with freight forwarders and updating the aircraft delivery manager on new aircraft deliveries from the factory to the desired location.

**Requirements and Qualifications**

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Detailed knowledge of Supply Chain principles, including inventory and materials management.
  • A high level of purchasing knowledge to support procurement activities in Australia and/or New Zealand.
  • Broad knowledge of applicable legislation, regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Proven purchasing experience and knowledge of end-to-end supply chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including On-Time Delivery and On-Time Request.
  • An understanding of purchasing cost drivers and strategies, as well as how to ensure cost effectiveness.
