The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Proposal Development Specialist to join the team at KBR. In this role you will be responsible for capture planning, bid management, coordination and management aspects of proposal development of key and other strategic pursuits.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Providing end-to-end bid / proposal management in collaboration with subject matter experts to ultimately achieve on-time and high-quality bid submissions.
  2. Capturing and sharing knowledge specific to key customers, project experience, resources and methodologies.
  3. Developing and implementing the proposal management plan and overseeing transition of capture plan into the proposal management plan.
  4. Project planning and managing proposal process.
  5. Helping to write and guide the development of Executive Summaries.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications (ideally English/journalism/communications or related field).
  • A minimum 5 years' direct proposal development experience.
  • APMP Foundation certification an advantage or willingness to work towards accreditation.
  • Persuasive communication (written & verbal).
  • Ability to write new content.
  • Advanced writing and editing skills.
  • An excellent understanding of benefits, features, advantages and differentiators as they pertain to client requirements.
  • Ability to take direction and apply feedback.
  • An ability to collaborate with engineers and other technical personnel, and develop and maintain relationships.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills.
  • Basic Visio skills.
