Senior Education Professional

We are seeking a Senior Education Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and understanding of culturally responsive practice in education.

This role involves building the professional capability of school leaders, teachers and agency staff to strengthen culturally responsive practice in schools and across the agency. As part of a diverse team, you will be innovative and creative in the design, delivery and evaluation of professional learning and facilitate transformative conversations with staff to drive system change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver professional learning programs that enhance culturally responsive practice in schools.
  • Collaborate with school leaders, teachers and agency staff to strengthen culturally responsive leadership and teaching practices.
  • Provide guidance and support to schools to develop and implement culturally responsive plans and policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Recognised qualification in teaching and current registration or eligibility for registration to teach in Western Australia.
  • Extensive experience creating culturally safe learning environments and meeting the learning needs and aspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
  • Ability to examine your own personal identity, culture and history and how these affect and/or support others to be culturally responsive.
