We are seeking to establish a pool of Mainstream Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Goollelal Primary School is situated 20 kilometres north of Perth in the suburb of Kingsley. The Role
Suitable applicants should be highly competent, experienced and passionate. They should work as part of a whole school team committed to high expectations of all staff and students, and high levels of capability and performance. To be suitable for inclusion in this pool you will ideally have sound teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills in a recent and relevant educational environment that displays your capacity to assist the teacher with the delivery of planned education programs. Ideally, you will have a successful history of working in collaboration with teachers to assist with the preparation of learning experiences and the general care and wellbeing of students. We seek Education Assistants who are ideally committed to maximising their impact on student learning.

Eligibility
To work with us, you must:
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.

- A CV of up to two pages outlining your employment history and professional learning summary relevant to this position.
- A three page statement addressing the selection criteria as outlined in the attached JDF.
- Demonstrated good written and oral communication skills, including interaction with students with special needs, parents and teaching professionals, and the ability to assist teachers in understanding students where necessary.
- Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and teamwork in evaluating educational programs, including special education and therapy programs where implemented.
- Demonstrated ability to assist teachers or therapists in implementing educational programs, including occupational and/or physiotherapy programs if required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of health and physical disabilities in students and adolescents.
- Demonstrated ability to assist with the general health and well-being of students.
