Global Payroll Specialist Lead

The RoleThis role reports directly to the Global Payroll Manager and is responsible for providing key support in the end-to-end payroll function. The Payroll Specialist will ensure the accurate, streamlined, and efficient processing of payroll across all Megaport international entities.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in preparing and processing fortnightly, monthly, and off-cycle payroll for all Megaport employees.
- Prepare, reconcile, and lodge superannuation and retirement funds, ensuring compliance with state and regional legislation.
- Review payroll tax and lodge returns.
- Manage Workcover lodgements in each state.
- Assist with auditor requests globally.
- Prepare financial year-end paperwork.
- Address internal and external payroll queries, escalating where necessary.
- Maintain and manage employee leave queries, ensuring compliance with relevant policies.
- Work with the payroll manager to ensure payroll compliance in all registered states and countries.
- Interpret awards, employment agreements, and individual contracts for all markets.
- Provide guidance on systems, including Deputy, Trinet, ADP, and other internal tools.
- Demonstrated experience in global payroll in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
- Reliability and trustworthiness, with a strong understanding of confidentiality in this sensitive role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Aptitude to learn new software and applications.
- Ability to execute processes with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

$80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
