The Role

The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for providing key support in the end-to-end payroll function. This role will ensure the accurate, streamlined, and efficient processing of payroll across all Megaport international entities. This role is eligible for our hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and processing of end-to-end fortnightly, monthly, and off-cycle payroll for all Megaport employees.
  • Interpret and understand modern awards, agreements, and individual contracts for all markets.
  • Prepare, reconcile, and lodge superannuation and retirement funds ensuring compliance with state and regional legislation.
  • Review payroll tax and lodge returns.
  • Assist with the management of Workcover lodgements in each state.
  • Assist with Auditors' requests globally.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial year-end paperwork.
  • Assist with internal and external payroll queries, escalating where appropriate.
  • Maintain and manage all employee leave queries, ensuring compliance with relevant leave policies.
  • Work with the payroll manager to ensure payroll compliance in all registered states and countries.
  • Provide best practice advice in all matters of the Fair Labour Standards Act (FLSA) and maintain the Deputy system.
  • Be the go-to person for systems guidance on Deputy, Trinet, ADP, and other internal payroll and rostering tools.
  • P&C support and ad-hoc projects as required.
