The Development Director plays a pivotal role in the leadership team, driving overall strategy and spearheading expansion goals.

This hands-on role oversees the Development Department, ensuring leasing, design & construction, and franchising functions achieve strategic objectives while aligning with the organisation's vision.

**Key Responsibilities:**

Leadership:

- Lead the Development team to achieve expansion goals with excellence, upholding organisational values.

- Foster a culture of engagement and people leadership within the Development team.

- Run departmental WIPs, property & project meetings, and lead stakeholders towards a common goal.

- Contribute to the Leadership Team, sharing experience, and participating in decisions for the business's best interest.

- Ensure cross-departmental collaboration, informing all departments of projects' progress.

- Communicate effectively with various levels of the organisation as required.

- Deliver board and management reporting related to expansion and business goals.

- Provide coaching and development opportunities to the Development Team.

Head of Leasing:

- Develop a national leasing strategy, analysing data to identify viable site locations.

- Lead the search for ideal sites, presenting proposals to the Leadership Team for collaboration and consensus.

- Maintain Lease Eagle platform completeness and update leasing information regularly.

- Establish systems for proactive reporting on current and future leases.

- Build relationships with Landlords to position the company as the preferred restaurant choice for A-grade locations.

- Create high-standard marketing documentation for lease proposals.

Franchising:

- Ensure Franchise Sales Manager utilises ZOHO CRM recruitment platform data effectively.

- Maintain Lease Eagle platform accuracy with Franchise documentation.

- Implement clear processes for franchise document adherence and timely renewals.

- Conduct regular franchise compliance checks, adhering to Australian laws.

Design & Construction:

- Oversee Design & Construction Project Manager, guiding them through the project lifecycle.

- Assess potential sites with the Development Team.

- Define project requirements, scope, and budget.

- Translate project objectives into actionable tasks.

- Proactively monitor project activities and status.

- Identify and mitigate risks, developing strategies for successful project delivery.

- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget.

- Conduct site inspections and review leasing documents for design brief preparation and CAPEX documentation.
