About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Junior Sous Chef to join our Culinary Team at The Star in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the pastry section and working closely with our experienced chefs to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train staff at lower levels to ensure seamless kitchen operations
  • Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
  • Manage food costs and maintain HACCP standards
  • Work collaboratively with the culinary team to achieve business objectives
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
  • Experience working in a busy, fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong understanding of pastry techniques and kitchen equipment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
