Occupational Rehabilitation Role
We are seeking a skilled Senior Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist to work with our valued clients.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in their lives by delivering high-quality occupational rehabilitation services.
- Case management of Department of Veterans Affairs Clientele with physical and/or psychological conditions, requiring coordinated care to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Assessment of DVA client's rehabilitation needs to inform the development of tailored rehabilitation plans.
- Create and implement individualised rehabilitation plans that address the unique requirements of each client.
- Undertake specific home and activities of daily living assessments to identify areas for improvement.
- Coordination of return-to-work plans to facilitate successful reintegration into the workforce.
- Delivery of evidence-based early intervention and occupational rehabilitation services to enhance client engagement and participation.
- Motivational interviewing to support clients in adopting meaningful occupations and improving their overall well-being.
- Liaison with key stakeholders within a multidisciplinary clinical context to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Completion of high-level written reporting to provide comprehensive documentation of client progress.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, or a related field; and AHPRA registration, ASORC, or ESSA membership.
- Injury Management experience gained within an occupational rehabilitation setting, with a strong understanding of injury prevention and management strategies.
- Comcare accreditation is preferred but not essential.
- The ability to work effectively on an independent basis, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal & written) to engage with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Good relationship-building and time management ability to establish trust and deliver results.
- ABN, Professional Indemnity Insurance, and a current driver's licence are required for this role.
