The Coorong, Lower Lakes and Murray Mouth is a significant environmental icon site where we are working to deliver sustainable outcomes. As a Project Officer, you will play a key role in helping us achieve this goal by engaging with First Nations and community groups, developing communication materials and activities, managing contracts and grant agreements for ecological monitoring programs, and supporting broader environmental water delivery initiatives.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Project Officer to join our team on a long-term contract basis. The successful candidate will have a strong background in natural resource management, science or engineering, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Your Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement engagement strategies with First Nations and community groups
- Manage contracts and grant agreements for ecological monitoring programs
- Support broader environmental water delivery initiatives
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver project outcomes

Desirable Qualifications

- Tertiary qualification in natural resource management, science or engineering

Special Conditions

- May be required to participate in fire management and associated duties
- Some out of hours work may be required Overnight absences and inter and intra state travel will be required on occasion
- Remuneration: ASO5 ($85,790 min - $95,413 max) p.a.
