Compliance Specialist

The Compliance Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring day-to-day adherence to environmental regulations, standards, and requirements.

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Specialist to join our delivery team for the Eyre Peninsula Desalination Plant project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the implementation of environmental management and sustainability measures as defined by the Project Environmental Management Plan.
  • Participate in project planning and risk assessment activities to identify and control environmental risks and opportunities.
  • Assist with identification and implementation of sustainability initiatives.
  • Monitor supplier and subcontractor performance against environment and sustainability requirements.
  • Conduct regular environmental and sustainability inspections and monitoring requirements as defined in the Project Environmental Management Plans.
Required Skills and Competencies:
  • Ideally Tertiary qualified in Environmental Management, Engineering, Environmental Science or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in inspection and monitoring of construction activities linked to environmental constraints/risks.
  • Experience in marine ecology would be highly beneficial.
  • Fluent in the Microsoft Office suite of desktop applications and related software packages, with proficiency in Excel a must.
