Leisure Service Officer Job Description

The Leisure Service Officer plays a pivotal role in the efficient operation of recreation facilities by delivering exceptional customer service, working collaboratively as part of a team, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

  • Deliver high-level service to internal and external customers with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Uphold a superior standard of personal presentation and actively participate in annual evacuation training sessions.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including first aid and emergency response, ensuring visitors and customers are aware of venue conditions and policies.
  • Perform diverse duties such as setting up, checking, and packing away furniture and equipment while adhering to Council's policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Customer Service: Utilize excellent customer service skills to build relationships with staff and client groups, contributing positively to the successful operation of the venue.
  2. Personal Presentation: Maintain a high standard of personal presentation, encompassing uniform and grooming standards.
  3. Safe Environment: Uphold a safe and clean environment through cleaning duties and adherence to health and safety protocols.
  4. Administration: Assist with administrative duties, including first aid and emergency response, and ensure compliance with Council's policies and procedures.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be physically fit, and have a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment. A First Aid certificate is also highly desirable.
