**Job Title:** Recreation Program Manager

**About the Role:**

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Recreation Program Manager to lead our recreation team in delivering innovative programs that enhance the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of our clients.
  • You will be responsible for designing, planning and delivering group and individual fitness classes or programs that cater to diverse needs and abilities.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in the health and fitness industry, and a proven track record of coaching and mentoring staff.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the development and evaluation of programs and recreational strategies to meet the release preparation and community reintegration requirements for our clients.
  • Contribute to the Healthy Prison policy by assessing the individual needs and promoting a physically active and mentally healthy lifestyle culture within the facility, with a focus on opportunities for continuation post-release.
  • Assess and address the recreational needs and capacities of the general prison population, ensuring the availability and inclusion of a diverse cohort, including elderly and disabled individuals.

**Qualifications and Requirements:

We require a minimum of a Cert VI in Workplace Training and Assessment, with qualifications in the Health and Fitness industry being essential. Experience in training workers in the industry area is also highly regarded.
