Key Performance Indicators for the Maintenance Manager Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our hotel's facilities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our guests.

  • Conduct regular inspections to identify defects and coordinate repairs or installations.
  • Oversee procurement of equipment and machinery, ensuring everything is installed and working order.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Recruit and train a skilled maintenance team to deliver exceptional service.
  • Maintain and manage inventory of parts and supplies while minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets and forecasts.
  • Liaise with contractors and vendors to maintain agreements and relationships.
  • Develop a preventative maintenance program to optimize guest experience.

You will work closely with multiple stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and be flexible to adapt to changing needs. The right candidate will possess advanced vocational training plus two years' experience in general building maintenance or construction.

Required qualifications include:

  • Professional certification and license if required by law.
  • Hotel experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and passion for developing your team.
  • Strategic thinking and an open mind to drive hotel success.
  • Fluency in English and other languages preferred.
  • Full working rights in Australia without restrictions.
