Personal Care Worker Opportunity

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to provide exceptional care and support to clients in their homes.

About the Role:

  • Provide holistic, client-focused care in line with each client's tailored care plan.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and independence.
  • Work closely with Registered Nurses to deliver client-specific care, including personal hygiene, toileting, nutrition, mobility, and more.
  • Identify client care needs and collaborate with the client's care team to ensure high-quality care.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and team members.
  • Support clients with light housekeeping duties, promoting independence.
  • Maintain accurate daily client notes and report any concerns to the RN/Care Manager.
  • Support clients with mobility aids, range-of-motion exercises, and non-sterile dressings under supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver person-centred care, prioritizing clients' physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, their families, and colleagues.
  3. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Cert III in Aged Care/Disability or equivalent qualification.
  • Current Senior First Aid, CPR, and Manual Handling certifications.
  • A roadworthy vehicle with a current driver's licence.
  • Federal Police Clearance within the last 6 months.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with empathy for elderly clients.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards for home care.
